2008 KTM 1190 RC8

The world’s leading manufacturer of off-road bikes has already proved itself with its innovations and has also caused a sensation with its outstandingly dynamic factory riders on the road racing circuit. Now KTM takes another crucial step towards having a complete range of unmistakable sports machines. At the heart of the 1190 RC8 is the completely newly developed supersport two-cylinder based on the well known LC8 range of engines, which, with a top performance of 155 hp and a maximum amount of torque of 120 Nm delivers an overwhelming amount of power to the rider. A unique light tubular steel frame, highest quality suspension and brake components and unusual technical solutions such as the exhaust positioned under the bike complete the 1190 RC8, which weighs just 200kg with a full tank. 2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000R Factory

The Tuono Factory is equipped with an even more powerful engine, the latest generation V60 Magnesium, with larger valves and exhausts, a new injection system and modified catalytic converters for a maximum power of 139 HP (102 kW) and a torque of 11 kgm at only 8500 rpm. This increased performance is held in check by an even more refined chassis, featuring a new Öhlins 43 mm upside down fork at the front and an Öhlins piggy back monoshock at the rear. This state of the art production suspension system offers a full range of precision adjustments to match the needs and preferences of any rider and any circuit. The ‘Factory’ is also equipped with prestigious OZ forged aluminium wheels and lighter bodywork, with a carbon fibre belly pan, side panels and mudguards. These weight-saving modifications, plus the use of a frame weighing only 9.6 Kg and an engine that uses magnesium components whenever possible, means that the Tuono Factory tops the scales at a record 181 Kg. The braking system uses four-piston radial calipers with two 320 mm floating discs at the front, and a 220 mm disc with a two-piston caliper at the rear.

2007 Honda Shadow Sabre

The Ducati 1098 is a 1099 cc (1098/1098 S) or 1198 cc (1098 R) L-twin sport bike manufactured by Ducati. It was announced on November 8, 2006 for the 2007+ model year and replaces the 999. The 1098/1098 S makes a manufacturer claimed 160 horsepower (119 kW), 90.4 lb·ft (122.6 N·m) torque, and weighs 173 kg (381 lb). The 0-60 mph time is less than 2.6 seconds and top speed is estimated at 186 mph (299 km/h). The 1098 R, announced in November 2007, makes a manufacturer claimed 180 horsepower (134 kW), 98.8 lb·ft (134 N·m) torque. These figures give the 1098 the highest torque-to-weight ratio of any production sport bike ever made.
